Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of architecture practices and processes
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts and techniques (both synchronous and asynchronous)
  • Ability to define and document integration patterns at the component level
  • Ability to define and document Enterprise Scheduling sequences and dependencies
  • Document as-is integration environment as a precursor to any new project or program
  • Document ideal future state architecture and develop a roadmap to achieve that end state goal
  • Lead the conceptual & technical integration design process 
  • Architect integrations to meet both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new integration tools and technologies
  • Document and socialize pros / cons of any given design option (trade-offs)
  • Document integration patterns and standards to be leveraged across corporate and Omni channel teams
  • Support engineering staff through the entire construction phase
  • Mentoring developers via hands-on assistance and training (formal and informal)
  • Participate in architecture review and governance processes
  • Participate in technical design reviews and code reviews
  • Small amount of technical development when required
  • Work closely with leadership team to ensure that technology projects are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business 
  • Work with a cross functional team to identify and anticipate the technical needs of business partners and translate that need into an IT strategy
  • All other projects and responsibilities as assigned
 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's  Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT,  or a related field
  • Master’s Degree a plus
  • 8+ years of software / integration development experience in an Omni channel retail environment
  • 3+ years as a software / integration architect or technology lead 
  • Experience / strong knowledge of the following tools:
  • Informatica Power Center (ETL), IBM MQ, Oracle ESB (SOA), Layer 7 API Gateway, Oracle Goldengate, Oracle DataGuard, Mulesoft ESB, Kafka, Control-M Enterprise Scheduler
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database technology. DB2, MS SQL and various NOSQL platform experience a plus
  • Experience with IBM Order Management product (Sterling / Yantra) a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Commerce products a plus (ATG, Endeca, Experience Manager, WCS)
  • Strong documentation skills, especially with drawing architecture diagrams
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving  & presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
