Customer Systems and Loyalty Program Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of architecture practices and processes
  • Strong understanding of Customer data models (Party Model)
  • Strong understanding of Loyalty related concepts (membership, points accrual, reward redemption, gamification, etc)
  • Strong understanding of Customer analytics, inferred attribution and segmentationFamiliar with Private Label Credit Card concepts / offerings
  • Ability to identify and document changes to existing systems, applications and interfaces
  • Ability to define and document changes to existing business processes
  • Document as-is integration environment as a precursor to any new project or program
  • Document ideal future state architecture and develop a roadmap to achieve that end state goal
  • Lead the conceptual & technical design process 
  • Architect solutions to meet both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new applications, tools and technologies where applicable
  • Document and socialize pros / cons of any given design option (trade-offs)
  • Leverage / enhance patterns and standards to be leveraged across corporate and Omni channel teams
  • Support engineering staff through the entire development phase
  • Mentor developers via hands-on assistance and training (formal and informal)
  • Participate in architecture review and governance processes
  • Participate in technical design reviews and code reviews
  • Small amount of technical development when required
  • Work closely with leadership team to ensure that technology projects are aligned with the strategic objectives of the business 
  • Work with a cross functional team to identify and anticipate the technical needs of business partners and translate that need into an IT strategy
  • All other projects and responsibilities as assigned
 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's  Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT,  or a related field
  • Master’s Degree a plus
  • 8+ years of software design / development experience in an Omni channel retail environment
  • 3+ years as a solution Architect or technology lead 
  • Experience / strong knowledge of the following tools:
  • Informatica MDM (Party Model), Oracle ATG Customer Profile, Teradata CRM / CIM 
  • Familiarity with 3rd party / Hosted Loyalty platforms
  • Solid understanding of Integration concepts / patterns
  • Strong documentation skills, especially with drawing architecture diagrams
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving  & presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
