About the opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate, team-oriented Senior Product Manager. The position is a key individual contributor for the division, playing a key role in developing the multi-year product management roadmap for customer-facing features and functionalities for an eCommerce website.

Strong candidates should possess a proven track record of delivery, working and influencing in a cross-functional context, and using data to drive decision-making. The Senior Product Manager will draw on his/her experience to build relationships and maximize the quality of his/her individual output.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads the development of features and functionality for our websites, including the identification of business opportunities, requirements definition, project implementation and evaluation
  • Combining a strong understanding of customer needs with an equally deep understanding of business goals to champion solutions that deliver value for our site
  • Identifies new opportunities and develops business case/ROI for projects, including:
    • Gathering input from a variety of internal stakeholders, and external resources
    • Conducting industry analysis (identifying market trends)
    • Understanding the competitive landscape (identifying best practices through competitive analysis)
    • Justifying development initiatives and expenditures, based on financial modeling
    • Analyzing existing data, and conducting user research/testing
    • Evaluating technologies (internal capabilities, and vendor offerings)
    • Socializes opportunity assessments and scope POVs, driving to alignment among key stakeholders and executive leadership
    • Responsible for the requirements, approach, and vision for key customer facing features on the website
    • Develops feature definitions, detailed requirements, business process changes, internal communications, and implementation plans
    • Leads and motivates multiple cross-functional teams throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment
    • Resolves specific challenges related to how a feature/tool will work for our customer or business user and make trade-offs of scope, time & budget when issues arise during development
    • Accountable for the financial impact and customer experience of the products produced, using analysis to measure the results of feature deployments to quantify the business benefit/impact, and identify further business opportunities or recommendations of product evolution
    • Drives change within the division, including the adoption of profit maximizing best practices, integration into business processes (for management/optimization of website features)
    • Structures customer research in partnership with the User Experience team
    • If necessary, coordinates with outside vendors and partners to ensure their work is delivered on time and on scope

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required; 6 to 8 years product management experience
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with all levels of business leaders; ability to influence key business leaders in the organization
  • Business acumen and understanding of eCommerce KPI’s, UX, CX
  • Exceptional negotiation skills across a myriad of audiences; can successfully advocate both business-facing and IT technology solutions among peers and to executive leadership
  • Has a proven successful track record; recognized as an expert across the division, who has excellent judgment and whose projects and team have contributed significantly to the success of the division
  • Marketplace experience: experience in eCommerce environment (direct to consumer)
  • Strong Business Analyst and Project Management skills
  • Sound business judgment: the ability to identify the business objectives, develop and implement a business strategy on projects; capable of making reliable business decisions during execution
  • Not afraid to get hands dirty, problem solving and creative thinking a must
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development
  • Communicates product solution and benefits to internal and external customers (where appropriate)
  • Experience with the Agile development process preferred
